SSSA Presidential Reception open to guests

As part of our (COVID-delayed!) Centennial Celebrations, the Presidential Reception on Thursday, 21 April, will be open to guests in addition to registered attendees.

The evening will include a cocktail hour and dinner, recognition of honorees, dancing across the decades, a 1920s costume contest, and a Charleston contest. Everyone is encouraged to dress in 1920s period attire.

Change-of-name motion to be brought up at 2022 SSSA Annual Meeting

The Southwestern Social Science Association’s Council has voted to authorize that the change-of-name motion tabled at the San Diego Annual Meeting be brought off the table and to a vote at the San Antonio Annual Meeting.
