The Southwestern Historical Association (SWHA) is the History affiliate of the Southwestern Social Sciences Association. The SWHA meets each year and gladly accepts papers and panels from any aspect of historical study and from all levels of historical scholars. At the annual meeting, SWHA sessions provide a positive atmosphere for scholars in graduate study, who are new to the field, or who are seasoned veterans. The SWHA also awards paper prizes and welcomes student (graduate & undergraduate) research presented through Phi Alpha Theta sessions at the annual meeting.
