The Southwestern Social Science Association is proud to announce the recipients of the Charles Bonjean and Robert Lineberry awards for 2022. These awards are presented for the two best articles published in our journal, Social Science Quarterly, in the preceding year.

The Charles Bonjean Award, goes to “Measuring Income Inequality Across Countries and Over Time: The Standardized World Income Inequality Database (Political Science) by Frederick Solt, SSQ 101(3), 2020

The Robert Lineberry Award, goes to “A Matter of Degree? Fear, Anxiety, and Protective Gun Ownership in the United States (Sociology) by Tara D. Warner and Courtney R. Thrash, SSQ 101(1), 2020

Each recipient will receive a monetary award of $2000 and be recognized with a certificate during the presidential plenary session at the Annual Meeting in San Antonio. We extend our congratulations to these outstanding scholars!
