Southwestern Social Science Association President Jennifer Horan has announced that Professor Steve Fish will be the presidential plenary session speaker at the Las Vegas 2025 Annual Meeting. Prof Fish is a comparative political scientist at UC Berkeley with emphases in authoritarianism and democracy. He recently published Comeback: Routing Trumpism, Reclaiming the Nation, and Restoring Democracy’s Edge, which offers thoughts on the current state of US democracy as well as abroad.
The Las Vegas 2025 Annual Meeting will be at the Flamingo, 3-5 April.
