The Southwestern Social Science Association honored Dr Tracy Dietz by voting to present her with its Distinguished Service Award at the close of its 101st Annual Meeting in Fort Worth, March 30-April 1, 2023.
Dr Dietz has served as the general program director for the association for many years, with overall responsibility for working with the SSSA’s affiliates to put together the roundtables, panels, poster sessions, and business meetings that comprise the SSSA’s Annual Meeting each spring. She was particularly involved in securing and working with the technology needed to allow for the New Orleans 2021 meeting to be conducted as a hybrid meeting during the COVID-19 global pandemic.
She is currently associate professor of management and an associate dean in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas.
