The SSSA Council is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Pascal Ngoboka Student Travel Grants for our 2025 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.
We will award up to twenty (20) grants in the amount of $300 each, with at least one (1) award provided to an attendee in each of our affiliates (identified as the primary affiliate on the student’s membership file). Honorees will be recognized during the Presidential Plenary Session at the Annual Meeting.
Deadline to apply is March 1st. Winners will be notified about March 15th.
An awardee must be a member of SSSA, register for the 2025 Annual Meeting, and must have a paper or poster accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting. An applicant must complete the application form, including a short (one paragraph) statement of need, upload to the form or email to the SSSA Communications Director a copy of their current CV, and have a faculty member familiar with their work email directly to the SSSA Communications Director a letter of support.
Priority will be given to applicants who have past and present involvement in the SSSA and their home affiliate, are on track toward their degree (MA/MS/Ph.D), lack institutional support for conference travel, are graduate students, and are from institutions in the Southwest.
