Nashville 2026 travel grants information
The SSSA Council is pleased to announce availability of the Pascal Ngoboka Student Travel Grants will again be awarded for our 2026 Annual Meeting in Nashville We will award up to twenty (20) grants in the amount of $300 each, with at least one (1) award provided to an attendee in each of our affiliates (identified as the primary affiliate on the student’s membership file). Honorees will be recognized during the Presidential Plenary Session at the Annual Meeting.
Deadline to apply is March 6th, with winners notified on or about March 20th.
Application Process
To qualify, a student must meet these requirements:
- Be a member of the SSSA
- Register for the Annual Meeting
- Have a paper or poster accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting
To apply, a student needs to submit:
- The travel grant application form
- Upload to the form a copy of your current curriculum vita. (It can also be emailed to the SSSA Communications Director)
Criteria for the awards are:
- Past and present involvement in SSSA and home affiliate
- On track progress toward degree (MA/MS/Ph.D)
- Lack of institutional support for conference travel
- Graduate students will be prioritized
- Students from institutions in the Southwest will be prioritized
